CHELMSFORD City will have a brand new sponsor’s name on their First Team shirts for 2010/11 after local builder’s merchants Chandler Material Supplies were unveiled just prior to the England vs Slovenia game at Melbourne Stadium.
They made the most of a raffle-based arrangement where a single payment of £500 could gain one entry into the exclusive draw for sponsorship rights on the kit, as well as all replicas sold during the campaign.
This took place at the clubhouse before the win for Fabio Capello’s men and the Widford Road business were picked out at random.
Chandlers are a local, independent merchant based close to Hylands Park.
They boast an extensive range of building materials from major manufacturers and offer quality and a reliable service.
Advice and product information is always available and Chandlers are able to source supplies for bathrooms, plumbing, landscaping, structural work and other decorating. Their website can be found at www.buildersmerchantsessex.co.uk.
Clarets commercial manager Aaron Desmond explained: “It was encouraging to see so many local businesses coming forward to support the raffle and we thank them all for taking part in difficult times.
"We brought £11,000 into the club and it was great that Chandlers won as they’ve been supporters for some time."
