CHELMSFORD Chieftains won their seventh consecutive match at the start of the National Ice Hockey League South 2 season with a crushing 12-3 win against the Haringey Huskies.
The hosts were on easy street as goals from Courtney Grant, Jake Luton, Terry Fillery, Grant Bartlett and two from Ross Brears put Chelmsford 6-1 up at the end of the first period.
Brears completed his hat-trick and there were further goals from Fillery, Grant Bartlett, Cameron Bartlett with the score 10-2 ahead of the final period.
Grant Bartlett added his third with the final scores coming from Brears and Lee Mercer.
