MARK CHAPMAN and Darren Kochan put Little Waltham SC on the verge of a Ridley League individual cup double as they fought their way into the captain’s and secretaries’ finals respectively.
Chapman, champion skipper six years ago, fired a 180 in surviving tough clashes against Martin Compton (CCFC A) and Mick Cain (Dog & Partridge) to set up his fifth Captains’ Cup final, a showdown with Compasses’ Grant Gregory.
Kochan strolled into the last two of the secretaries’ event, despatching Barry Devenish (CCFC A), last year’s beaten finalist, in the semi-finals.
The 2013 winner Keith Hemsworth (Cricketers), scorer of the evening’s other maximum, exited at the same stage, to Peter Wiffen (Black Bull).
