Fans of Call the Midwife have been eagerly awaiting to find out some information for series 13.
The popular BBC show is currently filming its latest series, which is expected to air early next year and now fans finally have an update.
As the official Call the Midwife Instagram account has posted a behind-the-scenes image on Instagram, showing some of the popular locals heading out of London and going towards the coast.

Posting on Instagram, the picture showed Linda Bassett and Georgie Glen, the actors who play Nurse Crane and Miss Higgins on a beach.
The pair were stood by a pregnant mother on the windy beach that was revealed to be in Sussex.
As the image caption shared: "Nonnatuns brave the British seaside!
"What do we have here?? Have Nurse Crane and Miss Higgins abandoned Poplar for the delights of the English Riviera? And who is that young mother-to-be that they're attending to....?
"Last week our team took a special excursion away from the smoke-filled streets of the Sixties East End to film in the fresh coastal air of Sussex. 🌊🐚⛱️
"The weather was....well, as you'd expect from England in September - sunny, rainy, stormy, bright, cold and warm all in one day!!!! But our intrepid crew made the best of it, and much fun was had by all! 😁☔️🌈💧☀️"
The Call the Midwife team also shared details of what to expect, with the cast currently filming for episode 5 of the 13th season, meaning they are nearly wrapped.
As the caption continued: "Just three more eps to film after this one. The Autumn winds were blowing on the beach, and the light was closing in much earlier - which told us that it wouldn't be too long to wait now until our brand new Christmas episode !!! ❤️❤️❤️
"Call the Midwife returns with a new Christmas Special, and Series 13 in 2024. xx"
Fans of Call the Midwife were quick to share their excitement as one viewer wrote: "Can’t wait! Miss Higgins and Nurse Crane are my favourite duo."
Whilst another added: "Miss Higgins and Nurse Crane are my favs! Kinda hope they find love but also, they are amazing."
One fan shared that they couldn't wait for the new series: "These two ladies are my favourite characters. Would genuinely be gutted if anything happened to them. CTM is very special and often brings me to tears, love it."
