CHELMSFORD will be hosting a cycling festival to celebrate National Bike Week.
It takes place in Central Park on Saturday, June 19, between 10am and 4pm.
The day of activity includes grass track racing for those aged ten to 16 around a custom-made, oval circuit.
Races take place from 1.30pm.
Dr Bike will also be available to help give bikes a thorough check and there will be BMX displays from Inertia Bikes – professional riders – which takes place from 10.30am.
Trial bike displays take place on the hour from 11am as riders show off their skill tackling a range of obstacles and challenges.
If the festival whets your appetite to get back in the saddle, representatives from local cycling clubs will be available to tell you about clubs in your area and organised rides should you wish to join.
