A BIRD lover is appealing for the owner of a lost budgie to contact her.
The frightened, small bird was found on Monday morning in the middle of the road in Salerno Way, Chelmsford.
Luckily for him, he was handed in to a nearby resident who keeps parrots and parakeets so she knew how to care for him.
He is now doing well and eating. However, she fears he may belong to an elderly resident who will be missing their pet.
He does not have an identity ring round his leg so the owner will need to describe the bird to ensure he is going back to his rightful home.
If the budgie belongs to you, call Pat on 01245 280706.
