Chelmsford-born Paralympian Jade Etherington received an honorary degree from Anglia Ruskin University this afternoon.
Britain’s most successful winter Paralympian, who suffers from Axenfeld Syndrome, received an honorary doctor of science award during a graduation ceremony at Anglia Ruskin’s Chelmsford campus.
Professor Michael Thorne, Vice Chancellor of Anglia Ruskin University, said: "Jade’s courage and her determination to live a life unlimited by her disability make her an excellent role model for our students.
"We are pleased to recognise her impressive achievements and she will be an inspiration for our sports students, especially those who are disabled."
